Oregon Ducks Football at Autzen Stadium

The Oregon Ducks have a storied and unique heritage as one of the premier programs in the nation, appearing in national title games in 2010 and 2014, and being a consistent presence in the national title hunt. Mario Cristobal is in his second full season coaching the Ducks, and previously led the FIU Panthers from 2007 to 2012 before stints as an assistant under Nick Saban at Alabama and Willie Taggart at Oregon. Oregon is part of the North Division of the Pac-12 Conference, where they've won four division titles and seven Pac-12 titles, in addition to four conference titles when they were part of the Pacific Coast Conference and a combined three Rose Bowl victories: in 1917, 2012 and 2015. The Ducks play at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, which opened in 1967 and has a current capacity of 54,000.

History of Oregon Ducks Football

The University of Oregon first fielded a football team in 1894. From the 1920s to the ‘60s, Oregon's athletic teams were officially known as the Webfoots, but the name "Ducks" was used interchangeably, with a version of Donald Duck approved by Walt Disney eventually becoming Oregon's official mascot. The Oregon Ducks have a rich tradition of star quarterbacks, including Pro Football Hall of Famers Norm Van Brocklin and Dan Fouts, and 2014 Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota, and is also the proud alma mater of such NFL legends as Haloti Ngata, Ahmad Rashād, Mel Renfro and Gary Zimmerman.

In addition to its regular opponents in the Pac-12 North, the Oregon Ducks have two main rivals: the Oregon State Beavers and the Washington Huskies. In a rivalry that dates back to 1894, Oregon and Oregon State finish their regular season with the Civil War. The 1983 contest, which involved terrible weather and sloppy play for all involved, was dubbed the "Toilet Bowl" and is the last scoreless tie to date in FBS history. The Oregon/Washington rivalry dates to 1900, but intensified in the ‘90s with the rise of Oregon's program under Rich Brooks and Mike Bellotti. In 2018, Oregon upset No. 7 Washington in overtime and defeated Oregon State 55-15 on its way to a victory over Michigan State in the Redbox Bowl.

Horrible concession lines, worse fans, limited security

by RMA on 12/3/23Autzen Stadium - Eugene

While spending 40 minutes in a line that should have taken less than 20, someone cut in line by pretending to be friends with the people in front of us. Upon realizing what had happened, two men started fighting and my 22 year old daughter got caught in the middle. It took 10 people to hold them back, and 10 minutes for security to show up.

Standing Room Only Fans Taking Seats

by Disappointed on 11/29/23Autzen Stadium - Eugene

My friends and I had 5 tickets and when we reached our seats we found 2 men in our seats. We later found out that they had standing room only seats meaning they should not be in our seats. Security came down, looked at their tickets and still let them stay! It was incredibly disappointing.

    Made the complex very easy

by Oregon Duck fan on 11/28/23Autzen Stadium - Eugene

In September, I purchased 11 tickets to the Oregon vs Oregon State Football game last week. I am no techie and even I was able to easily distribute eight of them to four different couples. Worked like a charm. Easy instructions. Great software.

    Pros and cons

by JS on 11/14/23Autzen Stadium - Eugene

Great first experience at Autzen. Beautiful stadium. Duck fans are arrogant and immature. Avoided drama that I haven’t in the past now that I have more to lose. Won’t be going back the fans spoiled it

by Kevinplayer on 11/8/23Autzen Stadium - Eugene

I had a great time at the game even though it was raining on an off I had fun and I will go again in 2024 when the ducks go to the big 10 and I'm glad that I sat on the 35 yardline on the ducks sideline.

    11/04 Cal Game

by UsuallyJolly on 11/7/23Autzen Stadium - Eugene

The game itself was great and the seats were great. I’m giving a three star review because of the people sitting next to us. We had seats 9, 10, 11 and 14 in section 25. The people next to us to the right in the same row (18) questioned us repeatedly about whether we were in the right section and had the right seats. The didn’t believe us. When someone came to our seats thinking they were theirs, the neighbor asked to see our tickets as they still didn’t believe we were in the right seats. Turned out the other people were in the wrong section. The couple on the left of us in seats 12 and 13 were polite but when we asked if they wouldn’t mind sliding over 1 seat into seat 14 that we had so our group could be together, they said no and that’s fine, but afterward they complained for about 5 minutes how we would be so rude to ask them to slide down one seat. Overall the game was great. The company in row 18 wasn’t worth it though. We ended up sliding up a few rows and watched the game with a couple other friends there and their neighbors were amazing and polite and didn’t care we weren’t in our seats.
