VEHICLE TAILGATING
GENERAL INFORMATION
No in-and-out privileges for vehicles.
Roadways, aisles, and parking areas must be kept clear of tailgating equipment so vehicles and emergency personnel may park or pass through.
Guests must tailgate in front of or behind their vehicle only or in landscaped areas.
Vehicle tailgates should not interfere with the flow of traffic.
FIRE, FOOD AND ALCOHOL
No open flames permitted in any tailgate or parking area.
Charcoal grills are permitted in most tailgate areas (Grills are NOT allowed in parking garages).
Plan ahead. Pack food, water, and other non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy prior to the game. Focus on camaraderie and share your Terp spirit with family and friends.
Please clean up your tailgating area before entering the game.
Please help us on our Zero Waste efforts and recycle when possible.
No consumption of alcohol in tailgating areas after kick-off.
All alcohol must be consumed prior to entry into the stadium. Alcohol consumption is NOT ALLOWED while in line at entry gates.

RVs
Lot 7 is the main RV parking lot, which is located directly off of Paint Branch Drive.
The cost is $75/night. The lot will open at 6:00 p.m. on Friday night, but is available to prepaid customers only at that time. The lot will reopen 6 hours prior to game time on Saturday for on-site purchase.
The lot closes at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
All spaces other than pre-paid are on first come first served basis.
All tailgating is restricted to the game day tailgating guidelines and cannot occur until all parking lots are open, which is 6 hours prior to game time.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PARTY AND A TAILGATE
The Department of Public Safety differentiates between a “tailgate” and a “party” and a party may be disbanded and attendees removed from the lots.
A tailgate has a variety of food and beverages, including non-alcoholic beverages, available in sufficient quantities for the number of people attending.
A party has some of the following characteristics:
Common containers such as kegs, party balls, large containers of mixed drinks, beer tubs, trash cans of beer
Loud music
Drinking games
Underage drinkers
Lack of food
Large or excessive quantities of alcohol
Large numbers of people
MISCELLANEOUS
Selling of items or soliciting of any promotional or marketing activities is prohibited.
Please be respectful to fans around you, other vehicles, and campus property.
There are two permanent fan assistance locations near the XFINITY Center parking locations and one permanent location in Lot 1 near Ludwig Field at Kehoe track.

TAILGATE PARTIES
There are available rental spaces across campus with the ability to hold larger group tailgates. Please contact the Facilities, Operations & Events office at 301-314-7126 for more information and space availability. All tailgate parties must end 30 minutes prior to kick-off.
RENTALS
Perfect Settings is the preferred vendor of University of Maryland Athletics for all of your tailgating needs to include tents, tables, chairs, etc. Please contact Terry MacFarlane in the rentals division at 301-674-8021 or via email at tmacfarlane@perfectsettings.com.
All tailgate set-up and tear down time frames will be handled based on facility availability.
All set-ups must comply with all Maryland State Fire Codes.
CATERING
Good Tidings is the exclusive caterer for the University of Maryland. They can handle all events from formal receptions and seated meals to casual coffee and snack breaks. Call to place an order at 301-314-1100.
OFFICIAL TEAM or CORPORATE TAILGATES
If coordinated by the University, the Visiting Team Tailgate location is lot CC1 on Regents Drive.
When available, lot CC1 is also a rentable space for Corporate or other official team tailgates.

From Baltimore (and north):
I-95 south to exit 25B, College Park/U.S. Route 1 South. After approximately one mile, take a right-hand exit off of U.S. 1 and onto Route 193 West. Go two traffic lights to Stadium Drive. Make a left onto Stadium Drive. Byrd Stadium is directly in front of you.
From Baltimore/Washington International Airport:
I-195 West to I-95 South. Travel to exit 25B and follow the above directions to Byrd Stadium.
From Reagan National Airport:
I-395 North until it terminates at New York Ave. Make a right onto New York Ave., and exit at Maryland Route 295 North (Baltimore/ Washington Parkway). Exit at Maryland Route 193 West (Greenbelt Road) and follow straight for three miles to Stadium Drive. Make a left onto Stadium Drive.
From Washington/Richmond (and south):
I-95 North to exit 23 from the Beltway (MD 201-Kenilworth Ave.) south to either MD 193 or Paint Branch Rd. and turn right (westbound). Cross U.S. 1 and follow the signs to the events.
From Dulles International Airport (and west):
Dulles Toll Road to I-495 West. Take 495 West (Washington Beltway) for approximately 25 minutes to exit 25B. Take the above directions (Baltimore and points north listing) to Byrd Stadium.
Alternate route from Montgomery County, Northern Virginia and points west:
Take exit 28 from the Beltway (MD 650-New Hampshire Ave.) south to Adelphi Rd. Make a left on Adelphi and follow to MD 193. Make a left on MD 193 and follow the signs to the events.
